Ile Saint-Marie is a major pirate haunt off the coast of Madagascar and was established by the pirate merchant Adam Baldrige. It is quite a successful pirate round, though there are assaults on the village by the natives in the area that keep some from settling permenantly within. 

 

This port is known to be the stopping grounds towards New York City that involved the trade of exotic goods for regular supplies that would be traded to the pirates for their stolen goods. Many of the pirate crews living within this area have been receiving Letters of Marque from the governments and have begun to be drawn towards the ligitimate path of privateers. Privateering was often less dangerous and thus more lucrative so many pirates have started accepting the pardons and have gone back to plundering for the Crown.
